Hello sumit,
There are many buses, almost every 10 minutes, between Chennai and Pondicherry.
We got in from Tiruvanmiyur, but I guess if you get in from the main bus stand, it would be less crowded.
The ECR route through which the bus goes is really scenic, so grab a window seat!

Just last week we visited Pondi & done so many other times
Agree it is realy a wonderful place, after reading your post I think there is a lot more to be explored in pondi especially the Paradise Beach, your wonderful writing gives the feel of a real jurney to all these beautiful places, keepup the good work

Im a Bangalorean, who works in Chennai.
So, when you describe Horsley hills,Gopalswamy betta or Pondicherry I sort of related to the description.

The way you gave Vir Sanghvi 2 stars or the phrase that questions mentioning of the housewife in the coffee related article, all I can say- jus loved it!!

I’m a resident in the ECR and have been to Pondy a dozen times. But, I’ve always taken its beauty and serenity for granted. After reading your site about my neighbourhood pondy, I’m forced to be more respectul… thanks for a wonderful narration.
