We finished a screening of Hamlets. That classical Lawrence Olivier one and one by Peter Brook. I personally enjoyed the latter more. This was in University of Hyderabad. It seems Hyderabad has more to offer on Shakespeare this time. This week there is going to be a similar attempt on King Lear at Prasads preview theatre. A version by Brook [again] and the classic Kozintsev version.
Anyways, thanks to all those who helped me in this blog with list of movies and plays….hopefully we would be able to take up some of them for screening in the university again.
And I did make a long list of movies made from plays, especially Shakespearean. Anybody interested?
